Beware of Dangerous Skin Lightening Creams with toxic ingredients.
Many skin lightening products have dangerous ingredients with serious side effects and are bad for your health and for the health of your skin.
Using these creams could leave you with permanent skin problems which are worse and harder to treat than the small spots you were trying to get rid of in the first place.
The main ones to avoid are any skin lightening creams containing Hydroquinone, mercury and steroids.
Hydroquinon was banned by the Food and Drug Administration in January 2001 for sale mainly in Europe, Japan, Australia and Asia because of its carcinogenic (cancer-causing) properties and for causing hyperpigmentation (the problem which is supposed to fix), and may be associated with abnormal function of the adrenal glands, and blood diseases.
In the US, it is still allowed to sell a concentration of 2% Hydroquinone in beauty products. Hydroquinone is presently found in over 200 skin lightening products in the US alone.
Mercury is a toxin which is easily absorbed through the skin. A large percentage of women with abnormally high levels of mercury have also been found to be been regular users of mercury-based “beauty creams”
Creams containing steroids may be associated with skin problems such as thinning of the skin, stretchmarks, cellulites, eczema, bacterial and fungal infections, pigmentation, and the list goes on.
Do not take risks with your skin! Do not use skin creams containing steroids, mercury or Hydroquinon.
There are safe and effective non hydroquinone, non-mercury and non-steroid solutions to freckles, melasma, age spots, uneven skin tone, dark underarms, acne scars, inner thighs, knees and elbows.
