Many people who have bad breath may not even be aware that they have a problem, the reason for this is a phenomum called acclimation, where we are unable to smell our own smell. Apparently, acclimation is necessary because without it we would be unable to smell other things besides ourselves!

Chorine dioxide as we mentioned before is the main ingredient in Closys products, but you can also make a preparation of chlorine dioxide at home to use as a mouth wash. A bottle of full strength Chorine dioxide costs about $20 and will last you an entire year or longer, making this a very inexpensive treatment. It is also convenient for travelling as a very small bottle lasts for a long time.

Chorine dioxide is being sold online under the name of MMS or magic mineral supplement.

On the other hand, using Chlorine Dioxide as a mouthwash is generally accepted as a safe and very effective treatment for gum problems and bad breath. Accidently swallowing a little should not cause any stomach aches since it is a small amount which is well diluted. The disadvantage of this product is that it cannot be used straight, it must be activated with lemon juice or citric acid which makes it less convenient than other ready to use mouthwashes. Prepare MMS as directed, it has to be mixed with an activator, you wait 3 minutes, then dilute with water, then rinse and or brush with the solution.

Rinsing the mouth and/or brushing with Hydrogen peroxide is another treatment which is very effective for oral health. The 3% hydrogen peroxide that you buy from the chemist is OK to use as mouth wash- dilute in water first, however, the hydrogen peroxide that is found at the chemist is designed for external use only and may contain unwanted additives.

Strictly speaking, the best hydrogen peroxide to use as a mouthwash is 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. This can be easily bought online, the supplier usually provides instructions telling how to dilute the peroxide so it can used as a mouthwash.

Both Hydrogen peroxide and chlorine dioxide should be used only as directed and can be dangerous if consumed undiluted, and may burn the skin if indiluted so be careful when handling them, and store them out the reach of children.

Have your teeth cleaned professionally on a regular basis.
Brush teeth thouroughly at least 2 times per day preferably with a good quality electric toothbrush
